Problem
Money often seems to disappear from our bank accounts as quickly as it comes in, leaving us unsure of where or when it was spent. This lack of clarity and control over spending habits makes it challenging to reach financial goals and effectively manage budgets.
Solution
I designed an app that enables users to track all income and expenses, set personalized budgets, and gain a clear understanding of their spending patterns, making it easier to stay on top of finances and achieve financial goals.
Persona
I created a persona to guide me in designing an effective solution for the issue at hand. This persona kept me aligned with the user’s needs and goals, ensuring I stayed focused on creating an efficient and user-centered app.
Branding
For branding, I chose green as the primary color to represent finances, symbolizing money, with red used to indicate expenses. I aimed to keep the app clean and minimalistic, which guided my choices for the font and icons.
Wireframing
After extensive research, I began sketching wireframes on paper to map out the many features I wanted to include. Putting everything down on paper helped me organize my vision and ensured I wouldn’t overlook any details when it came time to design in Figma.
Conclusion
The StreamLine mobile banking app redesign successfully addressed the usability issues, resulting in a more intuitive and user-friendly experience. The improved UX/UI design led to increased user adoption, engagement, and satisfaction, demonstrating the value of a well-designed template for UX designers.
